Dear Friends of Baltimore County,

As I am sure most of you are aware, I am currently recovering from triple bypass surgery. Although this is no simple procedure, I assure you that I am feeling better every day, and I am eager to get back to work with people of Baltimore County to continue the renaissance of our communities.

The care that I received at St. Joseph’s Medical Center was amazing.  We are so fortunate to have that fine hospital in Baltimore County.

While I am recuperating, I could not have asked for a better get-well message than the one that was sent all the way from Beijing. Watching Michael Phelps and Katie Hoff dominate the Water Cube in China was an incredible tonic.

The performance of our County Olympians on the world stage lifted my spirits and speeded up my recovery. I am so proud of what they have done, and I look forward to honoring them both with a huge parade in the very near future.

Sustain Our Momentum

Over the past several weeks, the kind words and well wishes that I have received from people in every community of Baltimore County have meant the world to me. 

I will always cherish the outpouring of support from my fellow citizens.  I am currently working from home and look forward to returning to the office very soon to continue our mission to in build a stronger Baltimore County.
