National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Resources

Baltimore County, a Phase 1 jurisdiction, defined by a population greater than 100,000 and 11 industrial categories, is required to obtain 5-year permits for stormwater discharge. Pertinent Federal, State and local resources include:

General Discharge Permit

Maryland Department of the Environment is proposing to reissue the General Permit for Storm Water Discharges from Industrial Activities; General Permit No. 12-SW. Complete information includes proposed permit, current permit, fact sheet and notice of tentative determination.
