Tax Credits in Southeast and Southwest

Businesses in the North Point and Southwest Enterprise Zones that expand and/or add employees are eligible for both County and Maryland state tax credits. The establishment of the Baltimore County Enterprise Zones added another tool to encourage redevelopment in older industrial areas.

Since their creation, the zones have spurred the expansion or relocation of 91 businesses in the two zones. Companies have invested over $116 million in real property improvements and $208 million in machinery and equipment, creating 1,904 new jobs have been created.

Use the maps below or the My Neighborhood Interactive Map to determine what properties are within the Enterprise Zones. The interactive map allows users to search for properties, view the zoning, view aerial photography, create custom printable maps and obtain owner information.

Upon the first visit to My Neighborhood, users will be directed to download a one-time Silverlight plug-in directly from Microsoft via a link.  If you are using an Apple MAC OS X and need to install Silverlight, do not use the install link provided on the application page. Instead, use the following link to install the proper plug-in: http://www.microsoft.com/mac/otherproducts.mspx
