Many businesses today have three and four generations represented within the workforce. This creates both problems and opportunities for employees – problems when different generations cannot or do not communicate and have no respect for each other; and opportunities when each recognizes the strengths of the other and shares knowledge.
Understanding the issues begins with understanding what forces shaped each generation’s attitudes and experience and how that impacts the way in which its members approach work.
