International Trade Assistance

Export markets offer Baltimore County businesses a wealth of opportunity.

Maryland's international trade representatives can facilitate permits, international letters of credit and special documentation. Assistance is available to help develop an international marketing program, identify marketing and distribution partners in other countries, and connect to State and Federal export programs.

Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development Export Assistance
The Office of International Operations (OIO) works to increase the participation of Maryland companies in the global marketplace and provides one-on-one assistance to firms interested in exporting.

The World Trade Center Institute
The World Trade Center Institute (WTCI) is a private non-profit membership organization assisting Mid-Atlantic companies with international business development.  WTCI offers an Introduction to International World Trade workshop series, which includes: Introduction to International Trade, Developing Your International Business Plan, Export Financing, Freight Forwarding, Legal Issues for Exporters, and Building a Successful Import Business. International Trade Administration
The Department of Commerce International Trade Administration provides customized market research, trade counseling and details on trade delegations and missions.

Maryland Department of Agriculture's International Marketing and Trade Development
Maryland Department of Agriculture's International Marketing and Trade Development assists Maryland farmers, watermen, and agribusinesses in entering and expanding their presence in the global marketplace.  Service provided include counseling, marketing assistance, exhibiting at international trade shows, trade missions, and assistance in applying for U.S. Department of Agriculture market promotion grants.
