Towson, Md. (May 9, 2008) Pevco, a manufacturer of hospital pneumatic tube systems, is relocating its headquarters to Baltimore Crossroads@95, a new 1,000 acre business park in eastern Baltimore County, Maryland. The park is located off the new extension of Maryland Route 43 between White Marsh and the Baltimore County waterfront.
"The primary reason the County and State funded the extension of Maryland Route 43 was to bring new investment to eastern Baltimore County," stated Baltimore County Executive Jim Smith. "Pevco's decision to locate its headquarters at Baltimore Crossroads@95 again confirms Baltimore County as a great place to invest and grow business."
Pevco purchased its new building from Chesapeake Real Estate Group, a full service commercial brokerage and development company headquartered in Anne Arundel, Maryland. The 41,500 square foot building is 20 percent larger than Pevco’s existing leased facility and accommodates short- and long- term growth for the company. Pevco joins twelve other companies in Baltimore Crossroads@95, including headquarters for BGE HOME and Alexander's Mobility.
Pevco provides pneumatic tube delivery systems to hospitals and healthcare facilities that quickly, safely and reliably deliver patient-critical materials such as lab specimens, pharmaceuticals, and blood products between pharmacies, operating rooms, emergency rooms, labs and nurses' stations. Celebrating 30 years in business, Pevco’s pneumatic tube delivery systems are used by more than 600 leading healthcare facilities.
Once completed, Baltimore Crossroads@95 will feature nearly 5.5 million square feet of space, including 2.5 million square feet of R&D/Flex/Office space, 2.5 million square feet of Manufacturing/Industrial space and 500,000 square feet of retail.
