Small Business Resource Center

The Baltimore County Small Business Resource Center offers new and existing business assistance with technical, financial and marketing issues free of charge.

Small Business Resource Center can assist with:  

  • Feasibility Studies
  • Demographic Studies
  • Strategic Planning
  • Business Structuring
  • Needs Assessments
  • Business Valuations
  • Market Analysis/ Research/ Planning Business Plan Development
  • Loan Package Assistance
  • Certification Process and Procurement
  • Intellectual Property
  • Funding Programs

Presentations and various networking events are offered through the center and the Chamber of Commerce, some at nominal fees.

Additional Startup Business Resources

  • Business License Information System (BLIS)  connects you to information on permits and licenses you may need in order to start, relocate, or expand a business in Maryland. BLIS offers information on business licenses, occupational licenses, permitting information and business start-up information.
  • SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small businesses. Local chapters provide free counseling and low cost workshops in their communities. Over 11,000 volunteer executives and business owners donate their time and expertise as business counselors. Visit the local Baltimore SCORE.
  • Guidelines for Business Planning -The business plan is your pathway to profit. It can mean the difference between success and failure. This outline is the first step in developing your business plan.
