Baltimore County's Largest Employers

The County is Maryland's second largest jurisdiction in terms of jobs and is home to more than 21,000 business establishments. Private sector jobs make up a larger share of the total in the County than they do in the State of Maryland and several neighboring counties. The County's economy is extremely diverse with strong representation across sectors. This diversity is reflected in the following table, which presents available employer-reported information on current employment numbers for most of the County's largest manufacturing, research and development, federal government, health care, utilities, education and financial services firms.
