Towson, Md. (May 5, 2009)—Baltimore County Executive Jim Smith joined the celebration of The Shops at Kenilworth's 30th anniversary. The center, located on Kenilworth Drive in Towson, recently completed a five million dollar renovation and has attracted new merchants such as Stebbins for Her, Atwater's, Bluehouse, and Azura Clothing. Almost three quarters of the Center's 28 merchants are owner-operators. With so many locally owned shops, The Shops at Kenilworth has become a special part of the Towson community. "In 30 years, Kenilworth has become more than place to shop, "stated Baltimore County Executive Jim Smith as he presented a special citation to John Heekin who represented the Center's owners. "The Shops also serve the community as a place where friends, families and neighbors meet."
