Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk Celebrates Expansion & Business Growth

Towson, Md. (December 5, 2007) Baltimore County Executive Jim Smith and Councilman John Olszewski, Sr., congratulated Colt and Karen Connelly today on the recently completed expansion and renovations to Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk.

Established in 1973, Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk is a family owned and operated business. Known for its personal touch and attention to detail, the business serves families in the Dundalk community, and has grown from providing 50 funeral services in 1997 to over 360 funeral services in 2007. Nearly $150,000 has been invested in expanding and upgrading the facility, which includes an 800-foot addition, new carpeting, lighting, wallpaper and ceiling tiles, and plans for a new paved parking lot.

Colt Connelly is the third generation to own and operate a funeral home in the area. Connelly Funeral Home was first established in 1924 on Eastern Avenue by Colts grandfather, John Gordon Connelly. A second location, Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk was added in 1973 and managed by Colt's parents until 1990 at which time the business passed to the next generation.
