In early October the Department of Public Works began renovating 9,200 feet of water line in Dundalk. Conduits which lie between North Point Road, Merritt Boulevard, Stansbury Road and Bear Creek are being cleaned and lined with cement to improve water quality and fire protection. This is a long-term project expected to take three years and cost $4.3 million. Crews are currently on winter shut-down and have completed about 2 percent of the project.
Public Works began relining 10,280 feet of sewer line in Rosedale and Eastpoint in June. The project, which is part of Baltimore County’s agreement with the EPA to eliminate sewer overflows, will cost $698,000.
Renovation to the North Point Sewage Pumping Station began in October 2012. The $1.79 million project represents a complete rehabilitation of the facility and is expected to be completed by March 24, 2014.
