Landmarks Preservation Commission Meeting

Environmental Restoration Projects

The dredging of Duck, Deep, Jones, and North Point creeks has been completed. The maintenance dredging of Bear Creek Tributary will begin in July. The maintenance dredging of Shallow Creek will begin in late summer 2009.

Pumping Station in North Point Slated for Rehab

Baltimore County is investing $1.2 million to rehabilitate the Bletzer Road Sewage Pumping Station, located between 695 and Back River. Work on the station, which began in December, is expected to take about a year and be completed by January 2010.

Work at the North Point Road Bridge

Public Works engineers are currently examining the 14-foot long North Point Road Bridge over Bread and Cheese Creek following an accident, which damaged one of the sidewalls. A temporary barrier is in place and crews are taking test samples this month before a permanent fix is designed.
