The Baltimore County Planning Board, in conjunction with County agencies, welcomes citizens to participate in the annual review of the Capital Improvement Program for fiscal years 2011 through 2016. The Board will meet on Thursday, October 15 at 6 p.m. in the Jefferson Building, Room 104, 105 W. Chesapeake Avenue in Towson. The meeting allows citizens' comments to be considered as County agencies formulate their requests. Agencies' requests will be submitted to the Planning Board in January for review and approval. Baltimore County is investing $1.2 million to rehabilitate the Bletzer Road Sewage Pumping Station, located between 695 and Back River. Neighbors Avenue between Old Philadelphia Road and Philadelphia Road qualified for traffic calming measures in March and the installation of one speed hump has been set for this fall. Information: 410-887-3554 Back to top
County Engineers began replacing and upgrading 5,000 feet of 80-year-old water main in North Point Boulevard at the end of June. An old 12-inch line is being replaced with a new 20-inch water main, which, say engineers, will improve fire protection in the Edgemere Peninsula.
