Planning Board Meeting

The Baltimore County Planning Board will meet on Thursday, June 18 at 4 p.m. in the Jefferson Building, Room 104, 105 W. Chesapeake Avenue in Towson. Please check the web site for the meeting agenda and any last minute schedule changes.

DEPRM Moves to New Location

The Department of Environmental Protection and Resource Management (DEPRM) will move on Friday, June 26. Normal service to walk-in customers on this day will be limited, but some assistance will be provided in the County Office Building, 111 W. Chesapeake Avenue, room 100. On Monday June 29, the office is expected to be open for regular business at the new location:

Environmental Restoration Projects and Meeting

  • Bear Creek Tributary Dredging - The dredging of Chink Creek, Tabasco Cove, Schoolhouse Cove and Lynch Cove will begin in late July.
  • Shallow Creek Maintenance Dredging - The dredging will begin in October.

Baltimore County DEPRM and the Back River Restoration Committee invite citizens to join in a Back River stakeholder meeting. The meeting will take place at the Back River Treatment Plant auditorium on July 8 at 6:30 p.m. Discussions will focus on the current development of an Action Plan for the Tidal Back River watershed. Participants will learn about how a watershed works and from where all the trash comes. An update on DEPRM projects in the watershed is included along with progress on current neighborhood assessments. Citizens will complete the evening with a vote on their vision and goals for the watershed plan.
