Mohrs Lane Bridge

The Mohrs Lane Bridge over the CSX Railroad, north of Pulaski Highway, was closed in 2007 because of structural deterioration. Demolition was completed by CSX in March 2011, at no cost to Baltimore County which has assumed ownership and plans to rebuild the span. A new bridge is currently being designed with construction scheduled for 2014. This bridge will be part of the future Campbell Boulevard Corridor.

New Water Lines for Essex

The Department of Public Works is installing 7,000 feet of new water line on South Marlyn Avenue, between Eastern Boulevard and Deep Creek. The new 16-inch line will improve water pressure and flow to the Back River Neck area, say engineers. Work began in June 2011 and should be completed by March – a little later than hoped because of heavy rains this fall. The project, which is now 80 percent complete, will cost $2.3 million.
