The Baltimore County Planning Board, in conjunction with County agencies, welcomes citizens to participate in the annual review of the Capital Improvement Program for fiscal years 2011 through 2016. The Board will meet on Thursday, October 15 at 6 p.m. in the Jefferson Building, Room 104, 105 W. Chesapeake Avenue in Towson. The meeting allows citizens' comments to be considered as County agencies formulate their requests. Agencies' requests will be submitted to the Planning Board in January for review and approval. A major water line is under construction in Belair Road to improve water capacity and pressure in the area and to insure adequate fire protection. Work began in October 2008 and may cause some traffic congestion. Information: 410-887-2171 Back to top
Renovation of the Red House Run Sewage Pumping Station in Rosedale got under way in August. The major re-fit, which is expected to cost $2.5 million, should be completed by December 2010, say County engineers. Information: enginrng@baltimorecountymd.gov Back to top
Traffic Engineers have approved Delegge Road in Rosedale for traffic calming measures. Residents on Delegge, which lies between Golden Ring Road and Getty Drive, have received traffic calming plans for their street. Construction can begin upon approval of the plans by the community. Notice of Public Hearing - Regulation of Police Initiated Towing Date/Time: 10/21/2009 2:00 p.m. - 10/21/2009 3:00 p.m. The Director of the Department of Permits and Development Management will hold a public hearing in Towson, Maryland on proposed regulations that apply to persons applying for and maintaining a Baltimore County Police-Initiated Towing License. Written comments referencing the proposed regulations shall be mailed or delivered to Room 105, County Office Building, 111 West Chesapeake Avenue, Towson, Maryland 21204 by Wednesday, October 21, 2009.
