EPS Variances

The Department of Environmental Protection and Sustainability (EPS) publishes a list of the environmental administrative variance requests along with their status. The requests are listed by County Council District.

Planning Board Meetings

The Baltimore County Planning Board Meetings will not be held during the month of August.

Storm Drains: West Towson

Public Works finished inlets and storm drains on Round Oak Avenue and Debaugh Avenue in July, and has been installing 100 feet of curb on Chesapeake Avenue near the YMCA.

Sewer Rehab in the District

Public Works began relining 10,822 feet of sewer line in Rodgers Forge in June. The project, which is part of Baltimore County’s agreement with the EPA to eliminate sewer overflows, will cost $663,000.

Curb and Gutter for Dalesford

Portions of Dalesford Road, between Daytona Road and Orlando Road, are scheduled for new curbs and gutters this fall.

Bird River Pumping Station

Baltimore County is investing $2.57 million to improve the Bird River Pumping Station. Construction began in October 2012 and should be completed on March 31, 2014.

Water Construction on York Road in Towson

Baltimore County is replacing an old and troublesome water line that runs through York Road, between the Beltway and Washington Avenue. During construction, which began May 20, the old 10-inch line will be abandoned and replaced with new 20- and 24-inch diameter pipes. Crews have mobilized and about 10 percent of the project is finished. The line, costing $3.2 million, is expected to be completed in April 2014.
