Public Works plans to build a two million-gallon, water storage tank on the site of Chapel Hill Elementary next year to service the Honeygo area. The elevated tank - it will be 125 feet tall and cost about $3.5 million - should provide "pressure equalization during high-demand periods and help maintain adequate pressure for fire protection" according to engineers. Plans also call for a chlorination tank as part of the project which will be finished in the spring of 2009.
