Planning Board Public Hearing

The Baltimore County Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, November 7, at 5 p.m. in Room 104, Jefferson Building, 105 W. Chesapeake Avenue, in Towson regarding: Chestnut Ridge – Out of Cycle Zoning Reclassification – Documented Site Plan.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection

The Household Hazardous Waste Collection event is the opportunity for you to dispose of your household paints and chemicals, automotive fluids, lawn and garden chemicals, prescription medicines, fluorescent bulbs and mercury thermometers and thermostats. Also bring along your paint thinners, lighter fluid and glues or adhesives that have the potential to catch fire. Other materials such as pool chemicals and bleaches, can react violently to explode or produce toxic gases.

Pedestrian and Bicycle Advisory Committee Meeting

The Pedestrian and Bicycle Advisory Committee meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 12, at 4 p.m. in Room 104 of the Jefferson Building, 105 W. Chesapeake Avenue in Towson.

Design Review Panel Meeting

The Design Review Panel Meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 13, at 6 p.m. in Room 104 of the Jefferson Building, 105 W. Chesapeake Avenue in Towson.

The Baltimore County Planning Board welcomes citizens to participate in the annual review of the Capital Improvement Program for fiscal years 2015 through 2020. The meeting allows citizen comments to be considered as County agencies formulate their requests. The agency requests will be submitted to the Planning Board in January for review and approval.

Traffic Calming on Windsor Mill

Windsor Mill Road near the Baltimore City line has qualified for traffic calming and the Department of Public Works has presented plans which include islands and parking lanes to residents on the street. Construction is scheduled for the fall.

Rolling Road Improvements

Baltimore County is widening and adding curbs, gutters and sidewalks to Rolling Road, from Windsor Mill Road to Orchard Avenue, in a long-term improvement project which will begin with utility relocation work shortly.

Owings Mills Boulevard

Owings Mills Boulevard South, Phase II, which connects Winands Road to Liberty Road, is under construction this fall and should be completed in 2015.

Sewers

Public Works will invest $1.3 million to improve the Carroll Avenue Pumping Station in Owings Mills this year. Renovations, which began in late January, are expected to be completed by February 2014. The improvements include new pumps.
