Traffic Calming on Windsor Mill

The County’s traffic engineers have submitted plans to Franklintown community residents along Windsor Mill Road corridor near the Baltimore City line to help calm traffic and prevent accidents. The proposal includes two islands and a parking lane. The approval of 75 percent of the community is needed for the project to go forward.

Dolfield Boulevard

Dolfield Boulevard, from Interstate-795 to Reisterstown Road, is under construction. The new, four-lane, divided highway, which includes sidewalks, will connect Reisterstown Road with Red Run Boulevard and the Owings Mills Town Center. The $6.5 million project will be more than a half mile long and is expected to open this summer.

Owings Mills Boulevard

Owings Mills Boulevard South, Phase II, which connects Winands Road to Liberty Road, is in the design stage and construction is scheduled to begin this summer.

Sewers

Public Works will invest $1.3 million to improve the Carroll Avenue Pumping Station in Owings Mills this year. Renovations, which began in late January, are expected to be completed by February 2014. The improvements include new pumps.
