Planning Board Public Hearing

The Baltimore County Planning Board Public Hearing will be held on Thursday, July 17, at 5 p.m. in Room 104, Jefferson Building, 105 West Chesapeake Avenue, in Towson.

The following issues will be addressed:

  • Cycle 32 Water and Sewer Amendments
  • Patapsco Heritage Area Management Plan

Sewers on Croydon Road

Public Works is constructing a sewer line in parts of Croydon Road, Sussex Road and Yataruba Drive. The project began in November and should be completed by the beginning of August. The project, consisting of 1,800 feet of 15-inch diameter relief sewer, is being undertaken as part of Baltimore County’s Consent Decree with the Federal Government to stop sanitary sewer overflows and, specifically, to eliminate Sanitary Sewer Overflow Number 106. The project will cost $866,488.50.

Traffic Calming on Tiverton Road

Tiverton Road, between Liberty Road and Winands Road in Randallstown, recently qualified for speed humps. Traffic engineers in the Department of Public Works developed traffic calming plans and construction should begin in July.

Lugine Avenue in Woodlawn, between Windsor Mill Road and Elba Road, qualified for speed humps. Installation is scheduled for July.

Rolling Road Improvements

Baltimore County is widening (to approximately 44 feet and four lanes) and adding curbs, gutters and sidewalks to Rolling Road, from Windsor Mill Road to Orchard Avenue, in a long-term improvement project which began in January with utility relocation work.

Owings Mills Boulevard

Owings Mills Boulevard South, Phase II – which extends from Winands Road to Liberty Road – is under construction and should be completed in 2015.
