Construction of the Dolfield Boulevard Bridge over Red Run may begin in October. The $8 million dollar structure, which will be 420 feet long, is part of a major long-range plan to provide traffic capacity for the expanding Owings Mills community. Engineers expect that construction, which will help link Lakeside Blvd. and Reisterstown Road, will take at least two years.

In October 2006, the Department of Public Works began building a supplemental sewer line in Ripple Road (near Liberty Road and the Beltway) in order to prevent sanitary sewer overflows by improving capacity. The 825 feet of eight-inch line, completed in mid June, cost $2.2 million.

Subet Road (ADC Map 32 K2) and Kings Point Road (ADC Map 24 A11) recently qualified for traffic calming. Traffic engineers are now preparing recommendations to slow traffic which will be submitted to residents for review.

Public Works plans to clean and line water mains in neighborhoods bounded by the Beltway, Milford Mill Road, Liberty Road, and Washington Avenue. Work on the lines, that supply 300 homes, is expected to begin this summer and be finished by the fall. The project will cost $400 thousand.

Baltimore County closed Crondall Lane, between Cronhill Drive and Garrison Forest Road, on June 25 to replace a culvert. The road will be reopened on August 29.
