Planning Board Meetings - Canceled

The Baltimore County Planning Board meeting regularly scheduled to be held on Thursday, March 21, has been canceled.

Jericho Covered Bridge

The historic Jericho Covered Bridge, spanning Little Gunpowder Falls east of Kingsville, is scheduled for a major renovation in 2013. A public meeting on the project was held on December 8, 2011 in Kingsville. Minutes of the meeting, plus a proposed detour and a plan of the renovation is now available.

New Water Pipe for York Road

Baltimore County’s contractors are replacing 9,500 feet of old water line in York Road, between Ridgely and Padonia Roads. The new 24-inch line, double the diameter of the old line, is expected to cost $5 million and take one to three years to install. The project, according to County engineers, is designed “to build redundancy into the system." The County’s contractor, Burgermeister Bell, started the project in April 2010 and should be finished by August. Crews will be on winter shut-down between December and early March. The project is about 82 percent finished, according to engineers. The State Highway Administration plans to re-surface York Road, between Padonia and Timonium roads, next year.
