Planning Board Public Hearing

The Baltimore County Planning Board will hold a public hearing on the Brandywine Planned Unit Development (PUD), PDM No. XIV-472. The Brandywine PUD is located on 7.44 acres in the 6th Councilmanic District on the E/S of Kenwood Avenue at the NE corner of Delegge Road. The PUD calls for 72 residential townhouse units. The hearing will be held on Thursday, July 2 at 4 p.m. in the Jefferson Building, Room 104, 105 W. Chesapeake Avenue in Towson. Water Work in Glyndon

Plans have begun on a major waterline replacement project for parts of Glyndon. The Department of Public Works plans to replace 9,000 feet of pipe in parts of Central Avenue, Butler Road, Waugh Avenue, Prospect Avenue, Worthington Hill and Fisk Avenue. Work, estimated at $2 million, is expected to begin in the spring of next year, 2010, and be finished by the spring of 2011. The site is currently being surveyed.

Bridge Replacement on Gunpowder Road

Public Works plans to replace the Gunpowder Road Bridge over Georges Run beginning in August of this year. The 40-foot long bridge is expected to be under construction by the end of summer (with utility relocation work by BGE) and completed by the spring of next year. The work will cost about $700,000.

Treherne to Receive Traffic Calming

Residents on Treherne, between Padonia and Girdwood (bordering Dulaney High), requested traffic-calming measures for their street and were recently informed that the road qualified for improvements under the County's guidelines. Plans will be submitted to residents in July for review and approval.

Water Pumping Station Rehab In Timonium

Public Works will begin replacing the motor controls (and valves) at its water pumping station on Westdale Court in Timonium this July. The rehabilitation, which is estimated to cost $900,000 is expected to take a year and a half and be finished before the end of 2010.
