Planning Board Meetings - Canceled

Pasturing and Stabling of Livestock – Public Input Meeting

A community input meeting is being held on Thursday, March 20, at 6 p.m. in Room 104, Jefferson Building, 105 W. Chesapeake Avenue in Towson, to gain input on the non-commercial raising and keeping of livestock, fowl or poultry on residential lots less than one acre, Council Resolution 73-13.

Please bring a written copy of your testimony to the hearing. Two minutes will be given to each speaker.

Roland Run Dike

Public Works began building a small retaining wall at the Roland Run Dike in January. The cost is $46,000, and should be completed by early March.

Enchanted Hills Pumping Station

In April 2013, crews began rehabilitating the Enchanted Hills sewage pumping station off of Reisterstown Road in Owings Mills. Construction, estimated to cost $1.552 million, will require a year and should be finished by April 29. The project is on schedule.

Offutt Road Bridge: Repairs Postponed

The Offutt Road Bridge, 2600 block of Offutt Road, which collapsed during tropical storms in September 2011, was given a temporary fix two months later in November of that year to allow one lane of traffic. Work on a permanent repair will begin in the late spring. Utility relocations are in progress and the construction contract has been awarded.

Bridge Work on Painters Mill Road

Public Works will replace the deck of Bridge Number 103, the Painters Mill Road Bridge over Gwynns Falls in Owings Mills. The $2.5 million project started in August last year, is expected to be completed before the end of this year, according to the County’s structural engineers. During the work, traffic will be maintained with three lanes open.

Montrose Avenue Pumping Station Improvements

Public Works plans extensive improvements to the Montrose Avenue sewage pumping station this year – expanding the facility and enhancing the landscape. The project – will take about a year to complete according to engineers – was started in late September, last year and will be finished March 27. The project will cost about $1 million.
