The Baltimore County Planning Board, in conjunction with County agencies, welcomes citizens to participate in the annual review of the Capital Improvement Program for fiscal years 2011 through 2016. The Board will meet on Thursday, October 15 at 6 p.m. in the Jefferson Building, Room 104, 105 W. Chesapeake Avenue in Towson. The meeting allows citizens' comments to be considered as County agencies formulate their requests. Agencies' requests will be submitted to the Planning Board in January for review and approval. Cherry Hill Road is being extended to Owings Mills Boulevard (ADC Map 16 E-9) this year with the construction of a bridge over Gwynns Falls and the CSX Rail Road. The bridge and roadway connection will be approximately 800 feet long and construction crews are expected to break ground spring 2010. Estimated cost: $10 million. Public Works is planning to add water pipes this December where Timber Grove Road crosses the CSX tracks south of Glyndon. The new line, which will cost $750,000, is expected to improve water quality in the area and enhance fire protection. The job will be finished in early 2010, say engineers. The Director of the Department of Permits and Development Management will hold a public hearing in Towson, Maryland on proposed regulations that apply to persons applying for and maintaining a Baltimore County Police-Initiated Towing License. Written comments referencing the proposed regulations shall be mailed or delivered to Room 105, County Office Building, 111 West Chesapeake Avenue, Towson, Maryland 21204 by Wednesday, October 21, 2009.
