EPS Variances

The Department of Environmental Protection and Sustainability (EPS) publishes a list of the environmental administrative variance requests along with their status. The requests are listed by County Council District.

Planning Board Meetings

The Baltimore County Planning Board meetings schedule is as follows:

  • Thursday, January 16, at 4 p.m. in Room 104, Jefferson Building, 105 W. Chesapeake Avenue, in Towson.

Traffic Calming on Greengage Road

Greengage Road, between Security Boulevard and Fairbrook has been approved for speed humps. Public Works traffic engineers have submitted plans to residents for review and approval.

Traffic Calming on Dlong

Dlong Road, between Nuwood Drive and Powers Lane, will have two new speed humps. Construction was scheduled for November, but delayed due to weather. Work will begin when weather permits.

Traffic Calming – Johnnycake

Traffic engineers in Public Works developed plans for speed humps on Johnnycake Road and Dillon Heights Road. The plans were presented to residents for review and approval, and construction will be scheduled when the weather permits.

Water Main to Serve Howard County

In October, contractors began replacing a 36 inch diameter water main running from the railroad tracks (near Clark Boulevard) down to South Street and then through the Patapsco State Park. The new line, which will serve Howard County, will be 5,500 feet long. The pipe project should be finished in two years. According to engineers, it is about 10 percent complete.
