The Progressive Visitation Center is a supervised visitation service that provides not only a healthy and safe environment, but also one-on-one direction and support to the visiting adult and his/her children.

Visits are managed by a Facilitator.  The Facilitator is a mental health professional who has experience working with families.  The Facilitator works with the visiting adult to identify strengths and weaknesses and to promote reunification of the family.  At the conclusion of each visit, the Facilitator prepares a Daily Observation Report that outlines his/her observations of the visit and makes recommendations for future visits.  The report is strength-based and the visiting adult will have the opportunity to review the report at the end of each visit.

The program is available to any natural parent or guardian who has a child(ren) in foster care in Baltimore County.  On a limited basis, the program is also available to any parent who is involved in an active visitation dispute and whose child(ren) is unfamiliar with the parent due to a long period of absence.
