Office ofBudget and Finance

The Office of Budget and Finance improves the accountability and effectiveness of the County government by providing efficient innovative services, public policy analysis and fiscal expertise in support of all Baltimore County government departments.

Most Popular Services

Baltimore County’s real property tax rates have not increased in almost a quarter of a century. Instead, sound financial management and foresight allowed the County to lower the property tax rate four times from 1991 to 2006 and that rate remains in effect today. All tax rates in Baltimore County are established by the County Council prior to the beginning of the fiscal year.
