Two of the Baltimore County Department of Aging's most useful resources have been expanded and updated.The 2007 edition of the popular publication, Baltimore County Senior Resources, will be available as of December, 2006. Baltimore County Senior Resources is revised annually to meet the changing needs of seniors and their families, and this year, the Department of Aging is increasing its efforts to provide baby boomers, seniors and families with information that enhances their ability to make the best decisions for themselves and their loved ones.
The Taking Care of Mom and Dad web site also is available in CD form. The CD contains information to assist seniors and their families and includes material to assist with the selection of a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan. In addition, the other topics on the CD, which include hospitals, hospice care, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, adult medical day care centers, independent living facilities, continuing care retirement communities and senior centers, have been updated and include more helpful web sites.
