Do you know that every year between November 15 and December 31 that you have to search for the best and least expensive prescription drug plan?
Baltimore County Senior Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) will assist you with researching Part D plans by appointment. Changes occur in drug coverage and copays; assistance requirements will help more people next year, so in order to find the best plan for you, action needs to be taken now.
You are encouraged to come to a SHIP screening. At the screening, you will be offered an appointment for a date during open enrollment. Screenings are on a walk in basis, so come early. Also, individuals should please bring the following for the screening: - your Medicare card and any other health care cards or Medicare supplements,
- list of medications including dosage and frequency,
- and have knowledge of your gross income and assets to see if you qualify for assistance.
