Nutrition Education Series 2015

Join Shauna C. Henley, Ph.D. – with the University of Maryland Extension Office for Baltimore County – for a nutrition education series on the following topics:

  • Reliable Resources for Nutrition and Food Safety Information that utilizes computers or IPads, smartphones, etc. If you have any of these devices, please bring them to class. You will be shown how to use it to find reliable resources – both on the Internet and in print – for nutrition and food safety information. 
      
  • Spot the Block and Proportion Distortion: Learn how to read nutrition fact labels and some key tricks to improve our nutrition literacy.
       
  • Stretching your food $$$: Learn ways to purchase fruits and vegetables to prepare budget friendly meals at home.
