Through the Maryland Department of Aging, Baltimore County is offering an evidenced-based health promotion program being offered to Baltimore County citizens. This program was developed by Stanford University, it is a workshop given two and a half hours, once a week for seven weeks.
Subjects discussed during sessions may be : techniques to deal with fatigue, frustration and isolation; appropriate exercise levels for maintaining and improving strength and flexibility; methods to effectively communicate with family, friends, and health professionals; nutritional guidelines, and strategies to evaluate new treatments.

Franklin Square Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital, partners of Baltimore County Department of Aging with these workshops, will also be offering classes. To register at either hospital, please contact their Community Health Education Coordinators.
