It’s finally here! The Baltimore County Department of Aging's CountyRide is excited to let you know about Request-a-Trip. CountyRide clients will be able to request trips by phone using an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) or from their computers using the Interactive Web Response (IWR) 24 hours a day seven days a week.
Please Note: This is only a request.
What is IVR/IWR?
Interactive voice response (IVR) allows clients to access CountyRide’s database via a telephone touchtone keypad, after which clients can service their own inquiries by following the instructions. It has been designed to allow clients to inquire or request a demand response trip all from a touch tone phone. The IVR systems will respond with pre-recorded audio to further direct clients on how to proceed and can be broken down into a series of simple menu choices. The IVR features a secure login with client identification number and password, assigned by CountyRide.
The Interactive web response (IWR) features the same opportunities to clients as the IVR via the Internet. Clients will use the same PIN number and password to access the CountyRide PASS-WEB. They can request future demand response trips and get confirmation on future trips including pick up and return times as well as locations.
Medical trips are given preference and may be reserved no earlier than two weeks before the appointment. See supplemental programs for additional details. Non-medical trips may be reserved no earlier than one week in advance.
To request same-day service, you must speak with an agent. Depending on unanticipated cancellations, transportation may be available at least one way, but there are no guarantees.
Do not email or fax a request for transportation.
