Woodlawn Senior Center

Located in Woodlawn Village, the Woodlawn Senior Center is Baltimore County’s 19^th senior center. Baltimore County residents age 60 and older are encouraged to visit the center and learn about the various exciting programs and activities we offer. New and exciting events are happening each month, check it out in our newsletter, the “Woodlawn Way” (PDF).

Classes/Programs/Activities

We offer aerobic classes, as well as yoga classes, creative arts classes, brain exercise classes (yes, brain exercise classes), plus a plethora of services provided by the Baltimore County Department of Aging such as health screenings, consumer information, volunteer training programs, noon lunch, shopping, transportation, and senior employment. There are also leisure activities like walking or simply relaxing in front of the television. We have something for everyone at the Woodlawn Senior Center.

Volunteer Opportunities

Woodlawn Senior Center challenges you to make a difference and become a volunteer. We have openings for front desk receptionists, classroom instructors, board members, kitchen servers and program/activity planners.

Our Story

The Woodlawn Senior Center began its commitment to the senior citizens of Woodlawn on May 9, 2005. Our groundbreaking ceremony was held on September 21, 2004 with much eagerness to provide vital services to the older citizens of Woodlawn. As of today, there are over 200 members who have benefited from the programs and services offered through the Department of Aging.
