Our Story
BCDA began its commitment to the senior citizens of Woodlawn on May 9, 2005 with the grand opening of the Woodlawn Senior Center. Due to overwhelming demand for additional programming space, the building was enlarged by 1,500 square feet and the community celebrated with a grand re-opening ceremony on September 16, 2008. The center has adopted "Home Away From Home" as its slogan since it reflects the feelings shared by so many of the residents of Woodlawn and surrounding communities.
