During October 1975 a group of Perry Hall seniors with a vision formed a drop-in center. Baltimore County Department of Aging adopted this group and it was named the Perry Hall Senior Center. It operated as a three-day a week center located at the St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Perry Hall.
In 1980, a group of Kingsville Seniors meeting weekly in the Kingsville Elementary School became part of Baltimore County’s Senior Center network. The club became Kingsville Senior Center.
In July 1989, plans were developed to construct the Seven Courts Drive facility. On October 2, 1991, over 500 people gathered to observe the ribbon cutting of the new Seven Oaks Senior Center. Response was immediate as the two neighboring communities joined memberships and combined time and talents to lay the groundwork for today’s membership and community.
Seven Oaks Senior Center is located in the heart of Perry Hall and serves the Perry Hall, White Marsh and neighboring communities. Activities, programs and services are provided to the age 60 and over population and their families. Please link up to ongoing and special events in “The Acorn” (PDF) monthly newsletter.
