Volunteer Opportunities

Fleming Senior Center challenges you to make a difference and become a volunteer. We have openings for front desk receptionists, classroom instructors, board members, readers and program/activity planners.

Our Story

Fleming Senior Center has experienced considerable growth and change from its humble beginnings as a Golden Age Lunch Plus Site in 1975. It received its current name in 1979 while located in Fleming Elementary School. Later in 1998, the Fleming Community Building which housed the center was demolished. The center relocated to the Watersedge Recreation and Parks building and later moved to Logan Village Shopping Center. Following renovations to the Fleming Community Building, Fleming Senior Center reopened at Pittsburgh and Main Street to a community that regarded the center as a home away from home. Remaining true to its early beginnings, Fleming Senior Center continues to cater to and service the needs of the Turners Station community.
