Information for Caregivers

Through a grant from the National Family Caregivers Support Program (NFCSP), the Caregivers Program serves family members caring for Baltimore County seniors over age 60, as well as grandparents who are seniors with primary care responsibility of grandchildren.

The Baltimore County Department of Aging Caregivers Program offers a variety of services and resources to help family caregivers to provide good care for older relatives, while also taking care of themselves.

Caregivers Conference 2008

On Saturday, November 8, at Bykota Senior Center, 611 Central Avenue in Towson, family caregivers of older adults are invited to this annual free day-long event, presented by the Baltimore County Department of Aging.

Guest speakers, vendor exhibits, and a variety of resources will educate, inform, and assist families in the care of their older relative and loved ones. The conference is from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pre-registration for attendees is encouraged at www.baltimorecountymd.gov/go/caregivers.

Respite care service for your loved one while attending the Caregivers Conference is available, free of charge, with advance registration. For more information, contact Senior Information and Assistance at 410-887-2594.
